It’s a Boy, She is 4, It’s football Season!!!!!!

It’s a boy!!!! The 5th human member of the Shuler Clan will be a little Boy. Alaina and I are so so excited, as you can imagine. Beyond that there is no real news to report. The girls are best of buds and worst of enemey’s at times. Josie just turned 4 and Kaiya 2. We feel so blessed with what God has shown us in the last year. It was around 13months ago this time last year that Alaina’s vision went out and our journey started. It exactly one year ago at this time that i learned my Job at TracyLocke may not be there at the end of the year. When we look back on it we can see God’s hand of provision guarding us at all times. Kaiya turns 2!

Not much to say except we are so very blessed to be surrounded by loving friends and family. Little Kaiya turned 2 on sunday and is now a big girl. She even went potty on the big potty for the first time.

Easter and Beyond

He is Risen.
Life is slowly returning to some form of normalcy after the whirlwind that was the last 6-8 months. Everyone is doing well. The girls continue to grow and are now looking and acting more like sisters than ever before. Alaina’s health is good. In fact, i think its safe to say she feels better now than she has felt in some time. My new job is going well, I continue to adjust to a new industry. The Lord has been faithful to our family, and it is our hope and prayer that we can live lives that glorify Him.

It started raining ice late last night. Funny story: My buddy Tim calls me around 6 and says...hey you want to go to Buffalo Wild Wings and watch the Razorback game...of course I said yes. He picks me up and its already raining ice like crazy, there is no one on the road. We stop off and pick up 3 other guys and on the last stop my buddy rolls down the passenger window to say something to one of the other guys...you guessed it. The Window never came back up. Regardless we went to BWW and ate some wings and watched basketball. The drive home was cold. I got a text later that night that the window came back up....when he got home.
I start me new job on Monday...excited.

Thanksgiving and Beyond

What a hectic end to a year we have had so far...and Im sure it will continue. We had a great time in Chattanooga with Scott, Allie, Silas and Rosemary. We drove through the night, 698 miles to be exact, to get there and it was worth it. Both girls slept the entire way and Alaina and I actually had some quiet time together in the car.
Alaina’s health seems to be doing good. We’ve had no ‘relapses’ so far and pray for continued healing. My Job search continues, we are hoping to hear this week from a company in Bentonville.
Little Kaiya has stolen her daddies heart...so if you find it please return it to me. She loves to cuddle with me, and doesnt seem to find just chillen on the couch to watch sports.

Summers End

From Denver to St. Louis the end of summer has brought about tons of fun and great family time. Alaina and the girls got the opportunity to go to Denver and stay with Amanda and Chris....and of course the boys. We all then headed up to Stl for some baseball and Pappy/Grammy time. The Fincher fam then came over to AR for some good ol’ fashion Hog callin’! How blessed we are to have such great family around us. Thank you all. We love you.

Our little girl turned one. Its bittersweet in a way. For one, she is just so dang cute we almost dont want her to grow up and loose the ‘baby cuteness’ factor. She is almost walking and trying to talk. Kaiya enjoys chasing Elway and trying to do most everything Josie does. We had a great birthday, thank you to everyone who showed up. Special call outs to Grandma D for showing up , and to Richie and Holly..they were a huge help.

Vacation was Awesome!!!!

Summer Is Here

Summer has officially begun here in Arkansas. We had great weather for 2 straight weeks, which has to be some kind of record, only to be followed by 2 straight weeks of rain .... not your average rain either - we are talking about hard core flood rains. Anyway, both girls are doing great. Josie continues to amaze us with her ability to remember things, and her ability to comprehend somewhat complex situations. Kaiya is finally starting to get new teeth. Her first 4 came in very quickly, the next 2 seem to have taken 6 months. She also loves to stand up now. She loves to hold on to the couch and just scream as loud as she can. Her voice is extremely shrill, kind of like a condor mixed with the sound of nails on a chalkboard.
We will be taking out first official Family Vacation this summer. In 2 weeks we will head to Palm Springs CA to hang out with my grandparents and get some much needed sun and relaxation .... as well as a round of golf or two :) . We look forward to also seeing Aunt Jamie and “ Da Beeeeecccchhhhh with sharkz (josie talk).
